Alphabetize
Alphabetization is not something new to us since we see it more often in phonebooks, directories and in several other places. If you want to remember some words, put them into alphabetical order. If you are trying to learn a very long list like the States of the United States, you have to start with one state per letter.
Categorize
Alphabetizing is similar to categorizing but with the latter, you can go a lot further. If you have many things to remember, you can group them according to their similarities. For example, if you have a list of shopping, you can categorize them according to their use. Like in the case of cosmetics, foodstuff, and utensils and so on.
Chunking
